Summer Time Make Up
Summer has finally started to show it's face so it's time to crack open the pimms and do something about that grey winter looking skin and where better to start than with the make up your using. So here i am once again with a really simple, fresh and easy make up look thats super light and easy to pull off.
Now I am already a huge lover of tinted moisturisers and they're absolutely perfect for when the weathers getting warmer and with concealers getting better and better in the drugstore, is there much need for a heavy duty foundation nower days?
For this simple look base I have used the Bourjois Happy Light Serum Primer which I like, but I'm not completely infatuated by, it's good one for keeping your makeup in place all day but I'm starting to find that the luminosity of it doesn't really last very long. Fortunately it works fantastically with my all time favourite Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturiser, it's a beauty of a product, with an SPF of 20 you'll be safe from any harmful sun-rays, it's light to medium coverage is easily build able if you need it and it's not heavy hanging on the face at all so still looks like skin. The colour range on this product is pretty good too with 15 different shades to choose from you're sure to find something that suits you. I use the colour Nude.
My usually dark circles weren't so bad this weekend so I could get away with a less heavy duty concealer so went ahead with YSL Touche Eclat, which contrary to popular belief isn't a concealer! It's actually a highlighter because of it's light flexing particles it's great for use on your cupids bow, brow bone and high cheek bones which is exactly where I've used here.
For bronzing you really cannot beat NARS Laguna bronzer, it's absolutely to-die-for and you can find a full review on it here. I love this, is not orange or dirty looking at all, definitely love between us and I always feel like I look a lot more healthier when I've got this on with or without makeup.
I've also added in Bourjois Java Rice Powder that is just divine for luminosity, it looks like a shimmery dusty pink in the pot but this doesn't transfer onto your face. Just sweep a light dusting of this across your forehead, down the centre of your nose and across you cheeks and you're set with 'look at me, I'm glowing' skin.
Because with this I'm going for a natural healthy look I've just used a light swoosh of CHANEL Infinite Length and Curl Mascara on the upper lashes to open them up a bit. It's a great mascara for not just length but volume, it's super black and none clumpy so worked mainly into the roots of your lashes it really fills out those flutterers.
On my lips I've used L'Oreal's Collection Privee Lipstick in the colour Cheryl's Nude. These lipsticks do have a pretty funky smell so if you can get passed that then you're onto a winner with these. There's apparently a nude colour for every skin tone so if you're out for a cheaper nude lipstick I'd definitely recommend checking these out.
